Description
This Leybold TW250S pump is not functioning properly so we are selling AS-IS, but it includes a brand-new TD 400 frequency converter. The TURBO.DRIVE S converter with RS 232 interface supplies power to the TW series turbomolecular pumps and is used to control their operation.
** The pump and frequency converter could be sold separately. There is also option to have the pump refurbished at extra cost - please inquire directly for more information.
The TW250S turbomolecular drag pump has a pumping velocity of 230 liters per second and a final pressure of 1 x 10-8. A turbopump is a gas turbine that is made up of two independent components; a rotodynamic pump and a driving turbine. They can be mounted on the same shaft or customarily geared together. The design of a turbopump is to produce a high pressure fluid for feeding a combustion chamber or other use. Applications include:
