Dionex BioLC HPLC - Ion Chromatograph System

The Dionex BioLC system can be used for semi-preparative applications for purification. Different applications may require different columns and eluents, and the system may need to be set up individually. As a a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) system, it can be used to quantify carbohydrates in biological samples. It uses anion exchange chromatography to separate the carbohydrates, and a pulsed amperometric detector to detect them. 

This system includes the following:

1) Dionex AD25 Absorbance Detector - The Dionex AD25 absorbance detector with DX-LAN has a dual-beam with variable wavelength photometer, with an integrated holmium oxide filter for verification.

– Wavelength range: 190 nm to 800 nm variable; continuous in 1 nm steps

– Analog output range: discrete settings of 0.001, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 AU

2) Dionex AS50 Autosampler - The Dionex AS50 autosampler can be fitted to an ion chromatograph to streamline workflow and free up valuable operator time. Using an autosampler can also reduce the chance of operator error while running multiple samples. Includes two 100-place vial racks measuring 7"W x 6.6"D x 8"H.

3) Dionex ED50 Electrochemical Detector - The Dionex ED50 electrochemical detector measures current resulting from the application of potential (voltage) across electrodes in flow-through cells. Several different properties of the flowing solution can be determined, depending on the method by which the potential is applied and current is measured. The ED50 provides the 3 major forms of electrochemical detection: conductivity, DC amperometry, and integrated amperometry.

– Range: 0.01μS to 3000μS, full-scale (Conductivity), 50 pC to 200μC (Integrated Amperometry), 50 pA to 300μA (DC Amperometry)

– Temperature Compensation: 0.0 to 3.0% per ºC (Conductivity)

– Cell Drive: Variable 8 kHz square wave (Conductivity), ±2.04 V (DC and Integrated Amperometry)

4) Dionex GS50 Gradient Pump - The Dionex GS50 gradient pump is a microprocessor-based eluent (or mobile phase) delivery system. Its variable-speed, serial-piston design ensures pulse-free pumping for the most demanding applications. The GS50 delivers mixtures of up to four mobile phase components at precisely controlled flow rates. The selected mobile phase composition can be delivered as isocratic, isocratic proportioned, linear ramp, step, curved, or any combination of these. A DSP (Digital Signal Processor) provides high speed, extremely accurate control of pump flow.

– Flow accuracy: <1% of set value or ±2 µL/min, whichever is greater

– Flow precision: <0.2%

– Compositional accuracy: <±1%

– Operating pressure: 35 MPa (5000 psi), maximum 

– Low delay volume: <400 μL

– Standard delay volume: <800 μL 

5) Dionex LC25 Chromatography Oven - The Dionex LC25 chromatography oven provides a controlled above-ambient temperature environment for the chromatography components of a Dionex HPLC or IC system. The LC25 operates over a range of 30 to 45°C (86 to 113°F), settable in one-degree increments. The temperature is selected from the front panel of the detector.
