Dionex ED50 Electrochemical Detector with LC25 Chromatography Oven

The Dionex ED50 electrochemical detector measures current resulting from the application of potential (voltage) across electrodes in flow-through cells. Several different properties of the flowing solution can be determined, depending on the method by which the potential is applied and current is measured. The ED50 provides the 3 major forms of electrochemical detection: conductivity, DC amperometry, and integrated amperometry.

Range: 0.01μS to 3000μS, full-scale (Conductivity), 50 pC to 200μC (Integrated Amperometry), 50 pA to 300μA (DC Amperometry)

– Temperature Compensation: 0.0 to 3.0% per ºC (Conductivity)

– Cell Drive: Variable 8 kHz square wave (Conductivity), ±2.04 V (DC and Integrated Amperometry)  

The Dionex LC25 chromatography oven provides a controlled above-ambient temperature environment for the chromatography components of a Dionex IC20 Ion Chromatograph or a DX 500 system. The LC25 injection valve is an automated, electrically-actuated PEEK valve by Rheodyne. The other chromatography components vary, depending on the application, but include some combination of the following:

• Analytical column

• Guard column

• Self-Regenerating Suppressor (SRS)

• Conductivity cell

• Amperometry cell

The LC25 operates over a range of 30 to 45 °C (86 to 113 °F), settable in one-degree increments. The temperature is selected from the front panel of the ED50 Electrochemical Detector.
